Convention 2006 Trips

Thursday – Highland Park , Eastman House and Gardens
Members of the Parks Department guided our Thursday visit to Highland Park and the Lamberton Conservatory. The George Eastman House included the International Photography Museum, his magnificent mansion, and his beautiful gardens. Our local docents guided us on tours through this world-famous facility. Naturally, our presentations included an expert from the Eastman Kodak Company to tell us about the science of color.

Saturday – Genesee Country Village and Gardens and barbeque dinner
The convention closed on Saturday with a visit back to the roots of our area at the Genesee Country Museum. After a short ride from the hotel, we entered the Nineteenth century and saw more magnificent gardens and authentic pioneer structures. We then had an opportunity to try the famous Genesee Brewery beer and enjoy a great barbeque.
