xSinvana Heartland’s Maverick’, 2011, IR111157, Dale Martens, IL. (Sinningia ‘Los Angeles’ x xSinvana ‘Mount Magazine’). Cross made April 15, 2009, planted May 17, 2009 and first flowered Oct. 15, 2009. Sterile and reproducible only vegetatively. Tuberous. Compact, erect, with flowers on the upper third of the stem. Leaves hairy, dark yellow green (RHS 147A), underside green suffused with red-purple (RHS 60B), 110.6 mm long x 106 mm wide with 37 mm petiole, orbicular with crenate margin, acute tip and cordate base. Calyx split, green suffused with red-purple, 12 mm long. Pedicel 55 mm with 3 flowers in cymose inflorescence. Corolla salverform, 62 mm long x 42.5 mm wide, exterior purple (RHS 77B), upper lobes purple, lower lobes paler purple, fading to white at distal end, throat pale with dotted lines of purple (N74D).
