Primulina ‘CW’s Purple Crystal Dream’

Primulina ‘CW’s Purple Crystal Dream’, 2023, IR231831, hybridized by Zi-Meng Yang, Wei-Chuen Chou, Fang Wen; Guilin University of Technology; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. halongensis  x  P. qintangensis). Cross made 04.19.2019, seeds planted 07.15.2020, first flowering 05.09.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green to dark green, ca. 15 cm long, 4-7 cm wide, 2-5 cm petiole, elliptic, acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, green, ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 3.3 cm, ca. 7 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3.1 cm long, 1.8-2.2 cm wide, pale purple to bluish purple. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
