Primulina ‘CW’s Star River Dream’, 2023, IR231837, hybridized by Di-Ya Chen, Wei-Chuen Chou, Fang Wen; Guilin University of Technology; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. villosissima x P. mollifolia). Cross made 03.29.2019, seeds planted 08.23.2019, first flowering 04.16.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, ca. 12 cm long, 3-6 cm wide, 3-5 cm petiole, veins obvious, blades thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces, blade ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, purplish brown, ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 2 cm, usually more than 12 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 2 cm long, 1.5-1.8 cm wide, vivid purple with white throat, inside some dark purple stripes. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
