Primulina ‘GCCC’s Golden Parrot’, 2021, IR211673, hybridized by Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei, Zi-Bing Xin; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. dongguanica x P. lutea). Cross made 05.27.2018, seeds planted 09.20.2018, first flowering 06.02.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem 1-5 cm. Leaves dark green, 7-10 cm long, 5-7 cm wide, ca. 6.5 cm petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, acute tip, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, green, ca. 10 mm. Length of the pedicel 0.8-1.0 cm, 6-8 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3.5 cm long, 2.2-2.5 cm wide, Bright yellow to golden yellow; the lower of tube yellow with purple-red shading. Medium to large plant size. Prefers bright scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); don’t overfertilize and overwater.
