Primulina ‘GCCC’s Purple Cyclone’

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Purple Cyclone’, 2021, IR211681, hybridized by Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. fimbrisepala x P. longii). Cross made 04.11.2018, seeds planted 09.20.2018, first flowering 04.25.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem 1-4 cm. Leaves green, 8-10 cm long, 6-8 cm wide, 5-6 cm petiole, orbicular with cordate base, acute to rounded tip, serrate margin, smooth. Calyx split, brownish green 10-15 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 2.0 cm, ca. 15 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3.5 cm long, ca. 2.5 cm wide, purple, throat with two bright yellow stripes. Medium to large plant size. Prefers bright scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); don’t overfertilize and overwater.
