Primulina ‘GCCC’s Purple Petticoat’, 2021, IR211691, hybridized by Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. sinovietnamica x P. polycephala). Cross made 06.30.2018, seeds planted 09.20.2018, first flowering 07.03.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem 1-2 cm. Leaves green to dark green, ca. 9 cm long, ca. 4.5 cm wide, 3-5 cm petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, acute tip, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, whitish green, ca. 5 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 1 cm, ca. 10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 2 cm long, ca. 1.2 cm wide, vivid purple to dark pinkish purple. Medium plant size. Prefers bright scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); don’t overfertilize and overwater.
