Primulina ‘GCCC’s Purple Storm’, 2021, IR211678, hybridized by Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. pseudoheterotricha x P. minutimaculata). Cross made 07.29.2018, seeds planted 09.20.2018, first flowering 04.05.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem 1-3 cm. Leaves dark green with pale green to yellowish green veins, 6-8 cm long, 4-5 cm wide, 3-5 cm petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, acute tip, serrate margin, smooth. Calyx split, pale green to green ca. 10 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.0-1.2 cm, 6-10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3.5 cm long, ca. 2.0 cm wide, bright reddish-purple, lobes and throat with dark purple stripes and nets. Medium plant size. Prefers bright scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); don’t overfertilize and overwater.
