Primulina ‘Green City Girl’

Primulina ‘Green City Girl’, 2021, IR211631, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Jinye Zhou, Dayan Tao, Shuming Luo; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. lutvittata x P. dryas ‘Hisako’). Cross made 09.30.2019, seeds planted 12.30.2019, first flowering 07.19.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves dark green, 12.6-18.8 cm long, 5.6-7.0 cm wide, 2.0-5.5 cm petiole, linear to elliptic with cuneate base, acute tip, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, brown, 0.7-0.9 cm. Length of the pedicel 2.8-5.2 cm, 3-12 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.9-4.5 cm long x 0.9-1.1 cm wide, dark purple. The plants have no tolerance of direct sunlight and need bright but scattered light. The medium must be loose. They cannot tolerate waterlogged conditions.
