Primulina ‘Lei’s Monk Pig’, 2021, IR211637, hybridized by Yuyang Lei, Haixia Yan, Kai Li, Dayan Tao, Jinye Zhou; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. sinovietnamica x P. guizhongensis). Cross made 06.19.2020, seeds planted 01.13.2021, first flowering 09.01.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green with white veins, 3.5-4.7cm long, 1.4-1.9 cm wide, 1.0-1.6 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, entire to crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 0.3-0.4 cm. Length of the pedicel 0.8-1.2 cm, 1-2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.7-2.8 cm long x 0.6-0.7 cm wide, purple. The plants require abundant sunlight. They have some resistance to drought and heat tolerant.
