Primulina ‘Purple Magic’, 2021, IR211600, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Dayan Tao, Qian Song, Shikai Guan, Flower Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. sp. x P. purpurea). Cross made 03.24.2019, seeds planted 04.28.2019, first flowering 02.28.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 8.6-12.9 cm long, 6.0-9.5 cm wide, 2.5-6.1 cm petiole, elliptic, with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green with light brown, 0.9-1.2 cm. Length of the pedicel 1.4-2.6 cm, 6-10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.3-4.4 cm long x 1.2-1.5 cm wide, purple. Need bright scattered light. Avoid waterlogging.
