Primulina ‘SCBG Rainbow Light’

Primulina ‘SCBG Rainbow Light’, 2021, IR211588, hybridized by Ning Zu-lin, Chen Ling, Li Dong-mei, South China Botanical Garden, Guangzhou, China. (P. versicolor x P. eburnea). Cross made 04.08.2018, seeds planted 09.20.2018, first flowering 03.15.2020. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves moderate olive green, 15-21 cm long, 13-15.5 cm wide, 5-7 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, white, 1-1.2 cm. Length of the pedicel 1-2 cm, 5-7 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.0-4.5 cm long, 1.3-1.5 cm wide, light yellow (RHS18A), base of corolla and margin of corolla lobes light purple, throat with reddish brown stripes and double purple guidelines. Bracts broadly ovate, 4.5-5.0×3.5-4.5 cm, green. It prefers a good natural light in the temperature range of 5-35℃.
