Primulina ‘SCBG Sunglow’

Primulina ‘SCBG Sunglow’, 2021, IR211589, hybridized by Ning Zu-lin, Chen Ling, Li Dong-mei, South China Botanical Garden, Guangzhou, China. (P. eburnea x P. danxiaensis). Cross made 05.08.2016, seeds planted 07.26.2016, first flowering 03.10.2017. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves deep green, leathery, 6-10 cm long, 6-10.5 cm wide, 8-12 cm petiole, orbicular with cordate base, rounded tip, serrate margin, bullate, hairy. Calyx split, green, 1-1.5 cm. Length of the pedicel 3-10 mm, 9-15 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.5-3.0 cm long, 1.4×1.7 cm wide, light yellow (RHS162C), throat with reddish orange stripes. Bracts ovate or obovate, 2.5-4 × 1.2-3.5 cm, apex serrate. It prefers a good natural light and moist substrate.
