Primulina ‘Yan Mei’, 2021, IR211621, registered by Kong Ling-Pu, Peng Huo-Hui, Shi Xu-Ping, Wang Guo-Hang; Jiangxi Institute of Sericulture and Tea, Nanchang, China. Mutation of Primulina fimbrisepala. First flowering 03.08.2021. Fertile, but reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, green leaves, white spots along the veins, 5.2-10.5 cm long, 5-7.4 cm wide with 4.2-5.8 cm petiole. ovate with oblique base, serrate margin and acute tip, hairy. Peduncle 6-21 cm. Calyx split, green, 8-11 mm long. Pedicel 1.5-3.5 cm with 5-10 flowers per axil. Corolla infundibuliform, 4.5-5.5 cm long, 1.5-2cm orifice, lavender. This cultivar is the choice selection from wild population, mutation of P.fimbrisepala without purple spots on the throat of the corolla tube and with white spots along the leaf veins. It was determined that this variation is stable and its desirable features are different from the original species. It prefers bright scattered natural light in the temperature range of 0-30℃.
