Primulina ‘Yan’s Face’

Primulina ‘Yan’s Face’, 2020, IR201506, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Shikai Guan, Qian Song, Jingzhou He, Nanning, China. (P. liguliformis  x  P. yungfuensis). Cross made 04.08.2017, seeds planted 05.14.2017, first flowered 03.28.2020. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves dark green,10.3-11.6 cm long, 6.2-8.9 cm wide, 1.3-3.8 cm long petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, crenate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, brownish, 1.2-1.4 cm long. Pedicel 1.4-2.5 cm long with 4-10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.9-6.2 cm long x 1.8-2.1 cm wide, purple. Excellent tolerance to heat and drought. Requires bright scattered light and temperature range 18-28℃.
