Primulina ‘Light Make-up Nymph’, 2022, IR221716, hybridized by Wendi Yu, Yixun Yu, Juanxu Liu, Guiyun Jiang; South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. (P. pungentisepala x P. hiemalis). Cross made 02.24.2020, seeds planted 04.26.2020, first flowering 11.26.2021. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 5.8-7.5 cm long, 3.5-5.0 cm wide, 1.2-1.8 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 9-11 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.6-2.0 cm, 4-6 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.8-5.0 cm long, 1.5-1.6 cm wide, purple. Compact plant with big flowers with a very long flowering period from November to February. This hybrid grows best in shady conditions, can’t tolerate direct sunlight, temperature range is 0-35℃.
