Smithiantha ‘Malu’s Alcie’, 2021, IR211554, registered by Margery Anderson-Clive, Portugal. (S. ‘Big Dots Rule’ x S. ‘Vivian’s Gift’). Cross made 06.2012 by A. Maxwell, seeds planted 11.20.2018, first flowering 06.15.2019. Fertile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Upright determinate habit, stem length 6.5-8 inch. Leaves green with velvety maroon hair, red reverse, 4 inch long, 3.75 inch wide, 1.5 inch petiole, orbicular, with cordate base, acute tip, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, lime green 0.25 inch. Length of the pedicel 0.75 inch, 24-30 flowers per raceme. Corolla salverform, 1.5 inch long, 1.25 inch wide, white face with magenta lacework with leopard spotted throat. Super compact.
