Sinningia ‘The Color Purple’, 2021, IR211563, hybridized by Margery Anderson-Clive, Portugal. (S. ‘Clara Louise’ x S. ‘Lena H.’). Cross made 12.08.2016, seeds planted 03.17.2017, first flowering 08.03.2017. Fertile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Upright compact habit, stem length 4-5.5 inch. Leaves medium to dark green, shiny, 2.25 inch long, 1.5 inch wide, 1.5-2 inch petiole, ovate, with cordate base, acute tip, crenate margin, bullate. Calyx split, green 0.25 inch. Length of the pedicel 1-2 inch, 2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2-2.25 inch long, 1.5 inch wide, dark rose, purple, lavender with striped throat.
