Primulina ‘Milk Chocolate’

Primulina ‘Milk Chocolate’, 2023, IR231893, hybridized by Shikai Guan, Qian Song, Haixia Yan, Dayan Tao; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Nanning, China. (P. lutea x  P. wentsaii). Cross made 06.11.2020, seeds planted 07.27.2020, first flowering 04.10.2022. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 5.4-6.0 cm long, 1.8-2.1 cm wide, 1.6-1.9 cm petiole, linear with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, brown, 10-11 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.5-1.6 cm, 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.3-5.6 cm long, 2.2-2.4 cm wide, yellow. It has an excellent tolerance to drought, heat and direct sunlight, but grows better in bright scattered light. Does not tolerate standing water.
