Petrocosmea ‘True Love’

Petrocosmea ‘True Love’, 2023, IR231902, hybridized by Tian-Feng Lu, Yin-Zheng Wang; Institute of Botany; Chinese Academy of Sciences; China National Botanical Garden; Beijing, China. (P. rosettifolia x P. forrestii). Cross made 11.21.2017, seeds planted 02.28.2018, first flowering 10.28.2022. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 2.9 cm long, 1.9 cm wide, 4 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin. Calyx split, green, 6 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.5 cm, 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, 1.8 cm long, 2.0 cm wide, light purple, two upper corolla lobes extended forward, inner corolla white, two white spots on the lower lip. The plants require moist and shady environment.
