Achimenes ‘Omniyat’

Achimenes ‘Omniyat’, 2024, IR242039, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. ‘SRG’S Maria’ x A. ‘White Glory’). Cross made 04.2022, seeds planted 09.2022, first flowering 028.2023. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect habit, stem length 20 cm. Leaves medium green, 4 cm long, 3.5 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin. Calyx leafy, medium green, length 5 mm, length of the pedicel 1 cm, 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, double, 3 cm long, 6 cm wide, white. Very double white blooms sometimes have a very light blue center when a temperature drops, edges of the corolla are fringed making this hybrid a real masterpiece.
