Achimenes ‘SRG’s Poseidon’

Achimenes ‘SRG’s Poseidon’ 2022, IR221795, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. ‘Ambroise Verschaffelt’ x A. HS-034-2010). Cross made 04.2011, seeds planted 02.2012, first flowering 08.2012. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect to trailing habit, stem length 20 cm. Leaves light green, 4 cm long, 3 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin. Calyx split, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 1.5 cm, 2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, double, 3 cm long, 7 cm wide, blue. Striking blossoms with a white background with purplish-blue veins and dots merging into almost solid blue at the edge of the petal.
