Primulina ‘Blue Star’

Primulina ‘Blue Star’, 2019, IR191469, hybridized by Lai Bi-dan and Huang Yi-qing; Nanning, China. (P. cordistigma x P. guizhongensis). Cross made 10/06/2015, seeds planted 12/02/2015, first flowered 11/13/2017. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, length of the stem 1-2 cm. Leaves yellow green with white veins, 7-8.5 cm long, 3-3.5 cm wide, 2.5-3 cm long petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, crenate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, yellow green, 0.4-0.6 cm long. Pedicel 1.6-2.5 cm long with 1-3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.5-3 cm long x 2.2-2.5 cm wide, light violet with two bright yellow guidelines. In autumn leaves turn deep purplish pink. Easy to grow, suitable to a very good light but not direct sun, temperature range is 0-30℃.
