Primulina ‘CW’s Hunan Dream’, 2023, IR231839, hybridized by Di-Ya Chen, Wei-Chuen Chou, Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei; Guilin University of Technology; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. hunanensis x P. jiuwanshanica). Cross made 04.18.2019, seeds planted 07.23.2019, first flowering 05.01.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, ca. 12 cm long, ca.5 cm wide, 2-5 cm petiole, obvious white veins, blades thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces, blade orbicular, acute tip, cordate base, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, purplish brown, ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 2 cm, ca. 1 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 5 cm long, ca. 2.5 cm wide, corolla purple and with white and dark purple stripes inside. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
