Primulina ‘CW’s Yellow Moon Dream’

Primulina ‘CW’s Yellow Moon Dream’, 2023, IR231838, hybridized by Di-Ya Chen, Wei-Chuen Chou, Fang Wen; Guilin University of Technology; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. ‘Chang-Ngo’ x P. lutea). Cross made 04.09.2019, seeds planted 07.23.2019, first flowering 04.17.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, ca. 10 cm long, 5-7 cm wide, 1-3 cm petiole, obvious white veins, blades thick, fleshy, glabrous both surfaces, blade elliptic, acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, green, ca. 10 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 1.5 cm, ca. 2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 5 cm long, 2.5-3 cm wide, corolla yellow, with dark yellow honey guide and brownish spots and lines inside. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
