Primulina ‘GCCC’s Pezzottaite’

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Pezzottaite’, 2020, IR201484, hybridized by Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei, Shu Li; Guilin, China. (P. ningmingensis x P. lutea). Cross made 09.09.2015, seeds planted 11.23.2015, first flowered 10.29.2016. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves green, thick, fleshy, slightly pressed strigose hair both surfaces, 7-8 cm long, 3-4.5 cm wide, 6-9 cm long petiole, elliptic to oblong with cuneate base, lightly crenate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, greenish white, ca.7 mm long. Pedicel 1-1.5 cm long with ca. 10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.5-5 cm long x 2.5-2.8 cm wide, pale yellow tube and bright pink lobes of corolla with two bright yellow guidelines (honey guides) inside. Prefers bright scattered natural light, moist but well drained calcium rich substrate (pH equal or above 7), do not overfertilize.
