Primulina ‘GCCC’s Purple Bunny’, 2020, IR201486, hybridized by Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei, Quan Yuan, Guilin, China. (P. pingleensis sp. nov. in editing x P. hochiensis var. rosulata). Cross made 11.16.2017, seeds planted 01.31.2018, first flowered 12.04.2018. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves green, thick, fleshy, pubescent hair both surfaces, ca. 15 cm long, 12-13 cm wide, 8-12 cm long petiole, orbicular with cuneate to oblique base, crenate to entire margin and acute to rounded tip, hairy. Calyx spit, brownish purple, 5-8 mm long. Pedicel ca. 1 cm long with 2-5 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 1.5 cm long x ca. 8 mm wide, bright purple. Prefers bright scattered natural light, moist but well drained calcium rich substrate (pH equal or above 7), do not overfertilize.
