Primulina ‘Green City Dragon’

Primulina ‘Green City Dragon’, 2023, IR231891, hybridized by Shikai Guan, Dayan Tao, Jinye Zhou, Qian Song; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Nanning, China. (P. longgangensis x P. leprosa). Cross made 11.12.2019, seeds planted 01.10.2020, first flowering 12.06.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves moderate olive green, 9.3-14.5 cm long, 3.6-5.6 cm wide, 2.5-5.7cm petiole, linear with acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin, bullate, hairy. Calyx split, light brown, 7-8 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.4-2.5 cm, 9 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.4-2.7 cm long, 1.1-1.3 cm wide, brilliant yellow. The plants require bright light and dry conditions. Intolerant to waterlogging.
