Primulina ‘Little Pink’

Primulina ‘Little Pink’, 2023, IR231885, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Qian Song, Dayan Tao, Shuming Luo; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Nanning, China. (P. longgangensis x P. hochiensis). Cross made 12.26.2019, seeds planted 01.10.2020, first flowering 10.24.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves moderate yellow green, 4.6-6.0 cm long, 1.6-2.4 cm wide, 1.6-4.4 cm petiole, linear with acute tip, cuneate base, entire to serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, brown, 8-11 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.6-2.6 cm, 2-4 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.0-2.4 cm long, 0.7-1.0 cm wide, strong reddish purple. A vigorously growing plant, well adapted to extremely dry and poor conditions. Requires indirect sunlight and low humidity.
