Primulina ‘Little Star’

Primulina ‘Little Star’,  2014, IR141255, Lai Bi-dan and Wen Fang, Guangxi, China. (P. hediotidea x P. sp). Cross made Oct.8, 2012, planted Nov. 15, 2012 and first flowered Oct.25, 2014. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette with stem length of 2-3 cm. Leaves green with white short hair, 8-10 cm long, 2.5-4 cm wide, 2-3cm petiole, hairy, linear with crenate margin, cuneate base and acute tip. Calyx split, green, 1.5-3 mm. Pedicel 1.2-1.5 cm, No of flowers per axil – 10-23. Corolla salverform, 2.5-3 cm long, 1.5-1.8 cm wide, violet. Easy to grow, suitable to very good light but not direct sun, temperature range 0 to+35C. The flower count 10-23 per peduncle is more than its parents.
