Primulina ‘Lucky’, 2019, IR191458, hybridized by Hai-xia Yan, Xiu-ling Li, Jing-zhou He, Da-yan Tao; Nanning, China. (P. glandaceistriata X.X.Zhu, F.Wen & H.Sun x P. sclerophylla (W.T. Wang) Yan Liu). Cross made 04.28.2017, seeds planted 06.27.2017, first flowered 05.25.2019. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves green, 3.7-9.7 cm long, 2.5-8.3 cm wide, 1.8-2.7 cm long petiole, ovate to orbicular with cuneate base, serrate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, green, 0.5-0.6 cm long. Pedicel 1.6-2.5 cm long with 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.7 cm long x 1.2 cm wide. Corolla purple with a very long abaxial lip. Fast grower, easy to propagate, grows well in a bright scattered natural light, prefers relatively dry substrate.
