Primulina ‘Purple Beauty’, 2019, IR191459, hybridized by Hai-xia Yan, Shi-kai Guan, Shu-ming Luo, Chang-yan Huang; Nanning, China. (P. liboensis (W.T. Wang & D.Y.Chen) Mich. Möller & A.Weber x P. purpurea F.Wen, Bo Zhao & Y.G. Wei). Cross made 04.06.2017, seeds planted 05.09.2017, first flowered 04.05.2019. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves green, 10.7-14.7 cm long, 7.3-11.7 cm wide, 0.4-2.5 cm long petiole, orbicular with cuneate base, serrate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, brown, 0.4-0.6 cm long. Pedicel 0.9-3.9 cm long with 24 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.5-4.0 cm long x 0.9-1.1 cm wide. Corolla purple. Easy grower, prefers bright scattered natural light, moist but well-drained substrate, temperature range is 0-37℃.
