Primulina ‘Fairy’

Primulina ‘Fairy’, 2021, IR211577, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Jinye Zhou,Dayan Tao, Qian Song, Flower Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. hiepii x P. linearifolia). Cross made 02.10.2020, seeds planted 04.16.2020, first flowering 01.30.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green with clear veins, 3.4-3.9 cm long, 1.8-2.2 cm wide, 1.0-1.3 cm petiole, elliptic, with cuneate base, acute tip, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, light brown, 0.3-0.4 cm. Length of the pedicel 2.6-3.1 cm, 6 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.5-2.7 cm long x 0.7-0.9 cm wide, light beige. The flowering period is from February to March. This variety needs loose substrate and bright light, but avoid direct strong light.
