Primulina ‘GCCC’s Yellow Toad’

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Yellow Toad’, 2021, IR211679, hybridized by Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. leprosa x P. bullata). Cross made 05.04.2018, seeds planted 09.20.2018, first flowering 10.14.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem 1-2 cm. Leaves dark green with indistinct pale purple puberulent-hairs on the abaxial surface of leaf blades, 8-10 cm long, 5.5-7 cm wide, 3-5.5 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, serrate margin, bullate, hairy. Calyx split, pale green to green ca. 10 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.0-1.2 cm, 6-10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3.5 cm long, ca. 2.5 cm wide, pale yellow, pinkish shading on the upper lobes and throat with two bright yellow stripes. Medium plant size. Prefers bright scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); don’t overfertilize and overwater.
