Primulina ‘Late Spring’

Primulina ‘Late Spring’, 2020, IR201519, registered by Haixia Yan,Shikai Guan,Dayan Tao,Jinye Zhou, Flower Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. yungfuensis x P. laxiflora). Cross made 05.16.2018, seeds planted 06.21.2018, first flowering 04.20.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves green with light veins, 8.7-10.0 cm long, 6.7-7.6 cm wide, 2.5-3.6 cm petiole, ovate, with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, brown 1.0-1.2 cm. Length of the pedicel 3.3-4.8 cm, 9-10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform,  5.0-5.4 cm long x 1.9-2.1 cm wide, purplish. The flowering period is from April to May. The variety requires indirect light and good ventilation conditions. The culture medium should be loose and ventilated.
