Primulina ‘Light Purple Skirt’, 2021, IR211612, hybridized by Yuyang Lei, Haixia Yan, Kai Li, Shikai Guan, Shuming Luo, Flower Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. ‘Purple Jade Hairpin’ x P. hochiensis). Cross made 04.01.2020, seeds planted 05.05.2020, first flowering 05.05.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 2.6-3.0 cm long, 1.8-2.0 cm wide, 0.8-2.4 cm petiole, linear, with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, brown, 0.3-0.4 cm. Length of the pedicel 0.7-1.1 cm, 2-3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.6-3.9 cm long x 0.7-0.8 cm wide, purple. The plants require bright scattered sunlight, but do not tolerate stronger sunlight. Waterlogging is to be avoided.
