Primulina ‘Nebula’

PrimulinaNebula’, 2020, IR201545, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Dayan Tao, Qian Song, Shikai Guan, Flower Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. ((P. guizhongensis x P. leprosa) x P. spinulosa). Cross made 10.24.2019, seeds planted 12.20.2019, first flowering 10.30.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves light to dark green, 5.3-6.3 cm long, 2.6-2.9 cm wide, 0.9-1.3 cm petiole, linear, with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, light green, 0.2-0.3 cm. Length of the pedicel 0.7-1.2 cm, 4 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.8-3.3cm long x 1.1-1.3 cm wide, dark purple. The potting medium must be loose, providing plenty of air permeability.  Waterlogging is to be avoided. The plants can withstand a degree of drought. They like bright, scattered light.
