Primulina ‘Queen of the Night’

Primulina ‘Queen of the Night’, 2020, IR201525 registered by Li Shu, Wen Fang, Fu Long-fei, Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC, Guilin, China. (P. eburnea  x  P. ronganensis). Cross made 04.02.2018, seeds planted 03.17.2019, first flowering 03.20.2020. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem length 1-2 cm. Leaves green, 13-20 cm long, 7-10 cm wide, 3-5 cm petiole, ovate, with oblique base, acute tip, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, pink, 0.6-0.8 cm. Length of the pedicel 1-2 cm, 15-17 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3 cm long x 2-2.5 cm wide, purple with yellow spot in the tube. Shade-tolerant but enjoys bright scattered light, prefers moist but well-drained substrate, will not bear temperature below freezing.
