Primulina ‘Summertime’

Primulina ‘Summertime’, 2021, IR211634, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Shikai Guan, Dayan Tao, Jinye Zhou; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. ‘Bright Fall’ x P. lijiangensis). Cross made 10.24.2019, seeds planted 12.19.2019, first flowering 07.17.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 12.6-13.8 cm long, 7.9-10.2 cm wide, 7.8-11.8 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 1.4-2.0 cm. Length of the pedicel 1.8-2.1 cm, 7-10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.5-4.2 cm long x 0.8-1.0 cm wide, dark purple. The plants are suitable for the scattered light, but sensitive to direct light. It needs both water-retaining and breathable grow medium.
