Primulina ‘Purple Intuition’

Primulina ‘Purple Intuition’, 2023, IR231889, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Jinye Zhou, Dayan Tao, Shikai Guan; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Nanning, China. (P. lijiangensis x P. longgangensis). Cross made 11.01.2019, seeds planted 02.10.2020, first flowering 10.31.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves moderate yellow green, 8.3-10.5 cm long, 2.7-4.4 cm wide, 1.5-5.1 cm petiole, linear with acute tip, cuneate base, entire to serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, light green, 10-11 mm. Length of the pedicel 2.4-3.6 cm, 9-15 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.0-2.3 cm long, 0.9-1.0 cm wide, moderate purplish pink. Requires bright conditions, cannot tolerate waterlogging.
