Primulina ‘CW’s Copper Dream’

Primulina ‘CW’s Copper Dream’, 2023, IR231851, hybridized by Wei-Chuen Chou, Long-Fei Fu, Fang Wen; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. curvituba x P. heterochroa). Cross made 06.23.2019, seeds planted 10.30.2019, first flowering 07.11.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, ca. 4.5 cm long, ca. 2.5 cm wide, 2-3 cm petiole, with obvious veins, thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, purplish green, ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 3 cm, 4 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3.1 cm long, ca. 2.2 cm wide, purplish red with pale orange shading. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
