Streptocarpus ‘Burgundy’

Streptocarpus ’Burgundy’. 1999, IR99580, J. Ford, OH. [1982]. (52-C x ‘Toronto’). Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette. Leaves dark green, 15 cm long x 4.5 cm wide, 2-3 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, tube 3 cm long, limb 4 cm x 4.5 cm, the two upper lobes white with small dark purple veining, the bottom three lobes dark purple with heavy white edge. First commercial listing 1987, Tiki Nurs. cat. 1995 Tiki Nurs. cat. “Medium pink bloom with burgundy veins; three lower lips (sic) burgundy.”
