Streptocarpus ’Deanie’s Blue Thunder’. 2004, IR04888, E. Underhill, CAN. (‘Something Special’ x ‘  Blue Mars’) Cross made Aug. 13, 2001, planted Nov. 1, 2002, and first flowered May 2, 2003. Fertile but repro­ducible only vegetatively. Large rosette. Leaves medium green 12 in. long x 4-1/2 in. wide, ovate with undulate margin, acute tip and cuneate base. Calyx light green, split, ¼ in. long, 2 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, 2 ½ in. long x 2 7/8 in. wide, frilled, deep blue with large area of red-purple blush in the outer throat, two yellow stripes inside throat. Available from hybridizer.
