Streptocarpus ‘Ronduls Bernice’
Streptocarpus ‘Rondul’s Bernice’, 2009, IR091101, Ron Clarke, UK. (S. Dibley’s ‘Carys’ x S.‘Frankens M21). Cross made May 2003, planted Oct. 2003 and first flowered June 2004. Medium sized, well balanced rosette. Leaves medium green, bullate, 28 cm long x 8 cm wide on average, 2.5 cm petiole, elliptic with crenate margin, acute tip and cuneate base. Calyx split, green, 8 mm long. Pedicel 1-3 cm long, 1-6 flowers per 12 cm peduncle. Corolla salverform, 4 cm long x 4.5 cm wide, tube outside mottled pale magenta, corolla face deep magenta, top two lobes slightly lighter, throat white with spotted lines extending out, turning to veins in very dark magenta over all lobes.
