Streptocarpus ‘Ronduls Raechel’

Streptocarpus ‘Ronduls Raechel’. 2011, IR111169, Ron Clarke, England. (S. ‘Ronduls Kristin’ x S. ‘Ronduls Merle’). Cross made June 2007, planted Sept. 2007and first flowered June 2008. Fertile but reproduclble only vegetatively. Medium sized, well rounded rosette. Leaves bullate, mid green, 26 cm long x 12 cm wide, elliptic with crenate margin, acute tip and cuneate base. Calyx split, brown, 0.5 cm long. 1 to 5 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, 5 cm long x 5.5 cm wide, outside of tube white, turning reddish with age, face spotted and veined in permanent mauve on a white background with a pale mauve border around all lobes, bottom lobes darker with spots and veins merging together, throat white with seven stripes extending from throat onto lower lobes, changes color with age.
