Primulina ‘Dove’
Primulina ‘Dove’, 2021, IR211620, registered by Kong Ling-Pu, Peng Huo-Hui, Chen Hua-Ling, Peng Yu-Fu; Jiangxi Institute of Sericulture and Tea, Nanchang, China. Mutation of Primulina lutea. Discovered in the mountains of Guangxi province in 10.2019. Fertile, but reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, light green leaves with dark green pattern. 8-15 cm long, 7-14 cm wide with 5-12 cm petiole. Ovate to orbicular with entire margin, cuneate base and acute tip, hairy. Peduncle straight. Calyx split, white, 8-15 mm long. Pedicel 1-2 cm with 2-9 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.5-4.5 cm long, 1.2-1.5 cm orifice, yellow. Corolla outside densely glandular villous, calyx linear-lanceolate, white. It was determined that this variation is stable and these desirable features are different from the original species. It prefers bright scattered natural light in the temperature range of 0-35℃, moist but well-drained substrate. It can be cultivated in Southern China.
