Primulina ‘Spring Tour’
Primulina ‘Spring Tour’, 2020, IR201528 registered by Wei Yi-gang, Wen Fang, Li Shu, Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC, Guilin, China. (P. fimbrisepala var. fimbrisepala x P. orthandra). Cross made 04.07.2018, seeds planted 04.17.2019, first flowering 04.05.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves green, 13-20 cm long, 8-10 cm wide, 2-3 cm petiole, ovate, with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 0.3-0.4 cm. Length of the pedicel 1 cm, 10-15 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2 cm long x 1 cm wide, purple with 2 light yellow stripes in the tube, white from the base of the adaxial lip to the inside of the tube. Shade-tolerant but enjoys bright scattered light, prefers moist but well-drained substrate, will not bear temperature below freezing.
