Primulina ‘Tan Boy’

Primulina ‘Tan Boy’, 2013, IR131234, Wen Fang and Wei Yi-Gang, China. (P. lutea × P. tabacum.) Cross made Jul. 4, 2011, planted Oct. 18, 2011 and first flowered Jun.18, 2013. Reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette. Leaves green to light green with white pubescence, 8-12 cm long × 5.5-8.5 cm wide, 8-12 cm petiole, hairy, ovate with entire margin, cuneate base and acute tip. Calyx split, pale green or white, 0.8-1.1 cm. Pedicel 1.5-2 cm. 4 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4- 4.5 cm long, 3.5-4 cm wide, buds purple, corolla bronze or copper-colored tinged pale purple. Easy to grow. Prefers bright light but not direct light in summer. Common mixed substrate is suitable. Temperature range +8 to +30°C.
