Primulina ‘Zhou’s Light Lines’

Primulina ‘Zhou’s Light Lines’, 2021, IR211656, hybridized by Fang Wen, Wei-Chuen Chou; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. eburnea x P. jiuwanshanica). Cross made 04.14.2019, seeds planted 11.11.2019, first flowering 05.11.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem ca. 2 cm. Leaves green with silvery main vein forming longitudinal plaque, the margins of plaque usually blurry, 11-15 cm long, 3.5-5.5 cm wide, 1-3 cm petiole, linear with cuneate base, acute tip, serrate margin, smooth. Calyx split, light green, ca. 10 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 2 cm, 2-4 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.0-3.5 cm long, ca. 2.5 cm wide, purplish blue, corolla tube very pale purple, throat having two bright yellow stripes and some brownish red plagues inside. Mid-size plant. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not over-fertilize and overwater, sensitive to cold.
