Primulina ‘Argentum’

Primulina ‘Argentum’, 2021, IR211627, hybridized by Yuyang Lei, Haixia Yan, Jinye Zhou,Kai Li, Shikai Guan; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. ophiopogoides x P. guizhongensis). Cross made 06.19.2020, seeds planted 12.07.2020, first flowering 08.18.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green with silvery white veins, 4.9-6.0 cm long, 1.9-2.5 cm wide, 1.5-2.3 cm petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 0.4-0.6 cm. Length of the pedicel 1.0-1.1 cm, 1-2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.1-2.2 cm long x 1-1.1 cm wide, purplish. It has an excellent tolerance to heat. It needs bright light. The plant type is stable.
